WELCOME TO IPSIS WEB !

IPSIS - Internet SUPPORT FOR BLIND INTERNET USER (IPSIS) is a non-formal organization which deals with development and application of communication and computer technologies aimed to provide assistance to the blind and visually impaired people. With the assistance of collaborators and donors IPSIS currently develops:

- linux distribution for the blind,
- web portal for the blind,
- digital collection of textbooks, literary works and other written material,
- free Internet access for blind and visually impaired people.

Good mornin' list!
15. May 2002.

1. TLB - till the end of this week we'll release first TLB for Linux users who have python (last version) on their PCs. Of course, this version will require an expert to get it running, but it's our first one! So, on Friday you'll be able to download it from ipsis web...

First installation CDs will be available on request in July. The CD's will work in plug'n'pray manner, and won't require expert installation procedures.

2. Portal - go there and have a look! The administrators are really working hard on it, and it's alive. :)

3. Collection - We have a cookbook!!!! Cookbook is a manual for scanning. How to finish all digitalization procedures without sweat? Find all the answers in this excellent edition by Swen. Till Friday available on Internet as well! ( download HERE )

There are certainly many things that we cannot manage alone and we need your help:
* * we are looking for linux programers to help us in TLB (TALKING LINUX FOR THE BLIND) system development.
All interested persons should contact Dražen.
* * We need money (And who doesn't?)
