ABOUT US

Project team consists of young people, gathered in organisation
of Croatian Association of the Blind. The team is made of: volunteers,
CAB employees, honoraries, and young men who are
doing their civil service in CAB.
Well, we are not working all of the time. Sometimes we just have
fun :-)
Organization
| The project has been somewhere in the air
for quite some time now and someone had to start it up.
So, here I am; coordinating teams, seeking out new guys
to join and help...
Expectations? I expect much. This has to work!

| Some 6 months ago I met a blind guy and we got into
talking about computers and Internet. I realized he couldn't
really understand all that I was telling him. Very soon
we started tossing some theories about making software
and hardware which would allow blind people to use computers
and Internet. I started developing some stuff on my own
but soon realized that if its to be done, it should be
done properly - free and for all. So I called the Croatian
Association for the Blind and ran into Danko. The two
of us clicked and got into this project, and the rest
is to tell over a beer or two... |
Administration
Hey,
Danko and Ogi have told that they need me on the project
so here I am...
I'm person that doesn't do anything seriously, but I deal
with all the little things that no body else want to do;
so let me know if you need anything in that direction.

Development
Three lines? Graduated in FER, came to
serve civil service.
Danko grabbed me for the project.
Right now, I work surrounded with so many monitors, that
I glow in the dark from radiation :) |

Digital collection
At the Faculty of Philosophy, University
of Zagreb, in January 2000 we started to talk about the
blind and their right to read as well as about improving
the speech synthesis program for the Croatian language.
Information experts and students from various areas applied,
willing to spend their free time collecting electron information
and publications for the blind.
So we started with enthusiasm and continue in the same
manner! |

...hm...help ?...always and anywhere... so I'm doing
that here too... with this small work that I do, I hope
I'll menage to help our blind persons, so that they can
do all the things that seems so normal to us ( people
that can see), but they only dream of that...
