| TLB1.2 finally boots...
We switched to kudzu (simplified) for network and sound detection... Debian is now official distro for TLB and apt-get is finally here... | ||

| Migrated GLS system to a real linux distro (debian). Iso image grew for about 100M but we can upgrade now... | ||

| We released TLB v1.1 today (version number is 2003110702).
Differencies from v1.0 are: fully localised to croatian and english, added croatian support for dictionary of misspelled words and dictionary of words that should always be spelled, big reorganisation and cleanup of code (especially web browser), improved control over interpunction reading. We also made TLB nondependent on directory location (everything is defined in vtgls script).
No MP3 player yet... Some documentation is finally included on the CDROM.
Danko is taking couple of this v1.1 TLBs to Info fair to distribute. | ||

| Started work on TLB v1.2. Added MP3 player on third console and support for managing it from filebrowser. We are still developing it but it is already working... | ||

| CTRL-ALT-F1,F2,F3 now work in main menu and filebrowser... (so you can reach mp3 player) | ||

| On Danko's request I added support for skipping links in web browser (just press 's'). If there are a lot of links and no (almost) text, it will skip over the links and position you to the last link before the text block. (very usefull when reading newspapers with a lot of menues) | ||

| A lot of bugfixes and cleanup! (hopefully) all external applications (like sox, aumix...) are now defined in variables.sh and referenced through environment. This way they are not hardcoded in application. All references to running dir. are now based on GLS_PATH variable so we should now be able to move gls/tlb to any directory without major changes to the code (actually only this variable should be changed in vtgls script). | ||

| TLB had it's promotion in all 4 countries of Ex. Yugoslavia (Croatia, Serbia and Montenegro, Slovenia, Bosnia and Hercegovina and Macedonia).
Cities visited (cronologically): Skopje, Mostar, Ljubljana (presentation took place in Zagreb), Novi Sad, Zagreb, Belgrade, Podgorica.
Regional centre's who hosted these promotions are responsible for future TLB distribution on a national level. | ||

| Added support for dictionary of misspelled words, so people can put their own pronounciation, like:
(croatian only, of course)
baseball = bejzbol
This way if they get a lot of mails with baseball in text, it will be pronounced ok even in croatian language :-) | ||

| Technical update to web browser (no new things for users). Browser can now be called as standalone application (with or without url as param), or as an python object (first import www, and then something like wb=www.webbrowser(url,speech). I have also made changes so that browser is no longer in WWW directory... | ||

| Localisation of whole GLS/TLB was done for english language. Now you can switch between english and croatian. All menues and messages are (hopefully) translated. All we have to do now is test! | ||
